We believe reliability and durability are the most important elements of the rifles we build. Our rifles are inherently accurate, but if they can’t endure severe punishment from field use and continue to perform then accuracy is irrelevant. Most of the rifles we build are based on the Remington 700 action. Surgeon, Stiller, and Defiance are the actions typically used. McMillan is used for 50 BMG rifles. Calibers used are primarily .22-.250 Ackley Improved, .308 Win, .300 Win Mag, .338 Lapua Mag, .375 CheyTac, and 50 BMG. We can build a rifle of any caliber based on customer requests.
CAPABILITIES
We have a well equipped machine shop that can handle every gunsmithing need in house so we have no need to send anything out to other shops. We have a 12 inch Clausing precision lathe, a 13 inch South Bend precision lathe, a 17 inch South Bend big bore lathe, and a Hardinge 12 position turret CNC lathe. We have a Bridgeport knee mill, two Delta Rockwell vertical bands saws, a Delta Rockwell drill press, and a Boyer-Schultz surface grinder. We have a commercial cerakote oven with dedicated sand blasting system. We metal stamp our own tools and use an electro-chemical etching machine for marking gun barrels and other metal items. Our tools for measuring machined components are made by the top manufacturers and our gunsmith tooling is made by the absolute best tool makers in the business. All gunsmithing is performed in house with the finest tooling so we can have absolute control over quality.
RIFLE INFORMATION
Typical Rifle Builds
Most rifles we build are based on the Remington 700 action. Surgeon, Stiller, Defiance, and McMillan actions are primarily used. Most rifles are built with McMillan, Accuracy International, and Cadex stocks. The quality and durability of these stocks is without question. Bartlein, Kreiger, and Lilja barrels are typically used. The precision of the barrels from these barrel makers is without question. The trigger typically used is a Jewell or TriggerTech because we feel they are the best match for our rifles. Any action, stock, barrel, or trigger can be used based on customer request.
Calibers
The standard calibers offered are .22-250 Ackley Improved, .308 Win, .300 Win Mag, .338 Lapua Mag, .375 CheyTac, and 50 BMG. These are the calibers with the consistency, velocity, and energy to make effective long-range precision rifles. Purpose built rifles chambered in other calibers can be built upon customer request.
